A firm's connectivity to every venue and vendor changes on its own schedule, and none of them wait for you.

Every trading venue and data vendor a firm connects to runs on its own change cycle: new matching engine releases, revised message formats, fee schedule changes, connectivity deprecations. Each one arrives as a notice, circular, or bulletin, and a firm with a global footprint of venues can expect hundreds of these every day, spread across email inboxes, vendor portals, or webpages.

The same venues and vendors also report outages, service degradations, and maintenance windows that need to be tracked separately from planned change. But neither a change nor an incident means much without context: which applications, desks, and services depend on that venue, protocol, or data set, and what the underlying specification or policy says.

Most notices are routine. A handful, buried inside the flood, require a system change, a re-test, a client notification, or a hard deadline for re-certification. Today, that job still falls to people, reading, triaging, and cross-referencing one email and one spreadsheet at a time.
